it’s not a matter of not liking “love”. Love is defined as : “a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person”. I believe this is true, but with the deception of your brain. feelings and thoughts are always doomed to be at odds with eachother, and nobody will ever overcome that duality. There will always be something that changes either within you, the other person, or because of external circumstances that you have no control over. Wilde once said that, “they spoil every romance by trying to make it last forever.” You are always subjecting yourself to being hurt or ruined by putting yourself at the mercy of another person’s feelings which can change at any moment. Love is one of those forces that either unites or divides people, it can make you do crazy things, or give you a purpose. It can motivate you one week and cripple you the next. It’s not worth me trying to explain because it is something that exists without bounds and is only equaled by the mystery of death.
Love comes close, Death comes close.
